Our Horseshoe Wall of Fame

Here at the Blacktail Ranch, we love to hear what our guests have to say!

Below are testimonials from new and returning guests over the years, from our horseshoe wall and from Trip Advisor and Google:

This was my eighth year here. People are friendly, food is fantastic, and there are three buffet meals. The views are amazing, you will see deer, bears, antelope, Elk, and a lot more. I just love it here! Hopefully I will go again this year. I feel like I am home there!

Great experience, from the moment I booked my trip I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. Sandra took the time to talk to me more than once and answered all my questions. The ranch is stunning, and I felt right at home from the moment I got picked up at the airport by Scott, to get greeted at the ranch by Lana. The cabins are perfect, up to date with a cozy western feel, plenty of room, spacious bathroom and a comfy bed. Honestly you don’t spend much time in the cabin, but I still loved my cabin and suited all my needs.

This was the best vacation ever! My friend of over 50 years and I try to do a horse vacation approximately every 5 years. This was by far the most amazing awe-inspiring vacation. The ranch is ran by an unbelievable family with a great history. The horses are very well cared for, you can tell how much everyone there cares for every animal that is here at the ranch. The staff is amazing, always asking if there’s anything you need and always willing to tell another story.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Blacktail Ranch. The minute we got there, there was an immediate connection with the Hostess Lana, who was ready to show us around and get us settled. The cabin we stayed in was more comfy than I could have imagined. They served three delicious homemade meals a day. The wranglers took care of all the horses’ needs; they also saddled them anytime any of us wanted to ride.

Thank you for making a bucket dream a reality. Loved the hospitality, the horses, wranglers, and the food! Hope to return for the Divide!

Visited with 10 women, all riders, and joined by one other who fit right in with the “Tribe”. Transport from Great Falls a definite perk. here are no undesirable cabins. Food was delicious and nutritious. Fresh salads/ fruits at all meals, homemade desserts, ribs, turkey, steak) , well prepared and tasty. Activities included mountain sunset viewing, , creek swimming, skeet shooting, Missouri float trip, , cave exploration, museum tour.

Their ranch is located on a huge piece of property with the most gorgeous views of landscapes and wildlife. They have some of the sweetest ranch cats and dogs, and 40 horses on-site for all the trail rides you could ask for. From the skeet shooting, to the side-by-side rides, every activity was so much fun! Although I’m not very experienced in most of these sports, I felt safe and well taken care of.
